We have mountains of love for the beautiful illustrations of Sarah Goodreau. They are always full of rich colours and gorgeous textures that make them beam from the walls like no other...
We caught up with Sarah to find out what goes on in that creative cranium of hers!
What inspires you?
Sounds strange, but I'm most inspired by literature. Something about the written word makes me want to create.
How did you develop your signature style?
Lots of time and LOTS of practice.
What do you love most about being an artist?
I love being able to create all the little things running around in my mind every day. It's such a blessing.
What do fine most rewarding about using your art for a good cause?
It's nice to know that I can use my skills as an illustrator to do more than just entertain. Giving to this great cause feels very good.
What was your favourite thing to do as a kid?
Besides drawing? I was an outdoors kid. I was always climbing trees and catching frogs.
What is your 'happy place'?
My happy place is a long walk in the morning with my dog and a mug of coffee.
