Join the fun with the new SS16 collection from Anarkid. Titled 'P L A Y' the range is full of wearable basics that are not only comfortable to wear but a delight to be in. And staying true to Anarkid's key philosophy the whole range is organic and ethically produced which makes for both happy mamas and babes...
Founded in Melbourne by Kelli Marchewka, Anarkid is brand that stands out from the pack. "We wanted to create a brand that stood for something. And with 20 years of graphic design behind us we knew that we wanted to do something different, something that hadn’t been done before."
Anarkid is also one of the leaders in creating children's clothing that puts as much focus on how the garment is produced as it does on how the garment looks. "Organic and ethical fashion needn’t be dull. Our ranges are dynamic and design inspired, are the highest possible quality whilst being 100% organic and made by people that are treated fairly and ethically." The end result is a beautiful and inspiring brand that is sure to become a staple in your little ones wardrobe.
The inspiration behind this SS16 range was simple... "It was ‘play’. I guess the rebel in me saw all the monochrome around and wanted to do the exact opposite. I wanted bright bold colours and patterns, combined with the simple joy of play. Like blowing on a dandelion, stomping around, skate boarding, playing with dominoes and shapes, dancing, all of the simple joys of play that can get lost in this digital age."
Just like in previous seasons print plays a key role the new SS16 range. Coming from a graphic design background, Kelli likes to create original prints with a pure graphic focus. "Design for us is the prime motivator. Inspired by shape, line, typography and creating the perfect palette." And this season is no different... Pops of spearmint, pink and aqua sing out in fun skateboard and dandelion prints, while grey marle makes for the perfect base for pairing back the range.
