Lovely Linen

A little sprinkle of awesome is all it takes to transform an ordinary quilt cover into something more special. Case in point, these gorgeous quilt covers from Melbourne based home wares brand Feliz...

Each cosy cover is smattered with a beautiful collection of colourful freckles. So simple, so cute.

We adore the timeless of these designs. They are clean, cool and subtle enough that your little one won’t grow out of them anytime soon – but still young and playful at heart, certain to inject a sense of fun into any room.

The production process is also ethical and sustainable, with a lot of it done locally in their hometown: “We screen print our designs and have the bed linen and cushions constructed in Melbourne. But we are also proud to have built a great working relationship with Bagru Textiles in India, who print a couple of our wood block designs.”

The entire Feliz range is produced with 100% organic cotton, making it crisp, luxurious and gentle enough for the softest of skin. Click through to check it out for yourself here.

Playfully Fresh

Nothing delights us more than snuggling up in a cosy corner with a slice of our favourite cake. And we’ve found the perfect collection of cushions from Rali-Living to keep us company when we do so...

Rali-Living are an interior design label based in Amsterdam, making some of the most delightful contemporary home décor and accessories going round.

These geometric cushions boast such a striking combination of shape and colour they are hard not to adore.

The team from Rali-Living combine fashion and craftsmanship to make each item by hand using locally sourced materials: “We don't use any printed fabrics, the patterns are created by using different fabrics, put together with the greatest attention to detail” says the team.

It is all about the little details too for the team: “For us the small things matter: a leather handle, a nicely hidden zipper in a contrasting colour.”

It is truly refreshing to discover such a bunch of passionate creators in a world of mass-produced products. The team clearly love what they do and it shines through in their work.

Pop over to the Rali-Living website to see more from their range.

Sweet Dreams

Tame by name, but certainly not by nature, we love the bold motifs and cheeky prints in this collection of children’s bedding from Tamé Creation...

For Tamé, it’s always playtime and you can see this in their creations. The cute and cursive copy on their flat sheets translates to something quite adorable: My love, play, laugh & cry, eat, and burp, jump, grow up but not too fast, hold me, walk, drink, listen to yourself, love yourself, smile, dance.

There are two models available in the range – Duality and Orders – and each set comes with a fitted sheet, flat sheet, duvet cover and pillowcase. You can purchase the lovely bedding over on their Etsy Store.

A Cosy Nook

We’d love to cosy up with a good picture book and float off to dream town in this charming Moon Cradle from Crème Anglaise...

A beautiful children’s homewares brand from France, Crème Anglaise has a gorgeous rustic charm that makes any room feel instantly warmer and more homely. The store was started in 2008 when owner Emilie was waiting for the arrival of her little boy Mael.

Emilie began by creating a simple plush guitar, but it quickly escalated into an obsession whereby everything in little Mael’s nursery needed to look cute and cosy.

A few years later, Emilie now spends her days in the South of France with her furniture maker husband creating a beautiful range of cushions, mobiles, musical boxes and wooden furniture for the world to enjoy. Oh how we can dream!

Everything in the Crème Anglaise store is made by hand with loads of passion. The team are even open to creating bespoke pieces if you have something particular in mind. Check out the Crème Anglaise website for more information.

Good Night Pillow

The dream of one day sleeping on the moon is now a fun reality thanks to this gigantic 5-foot circular Full Moon Odyssey floor mattress pillow from i3lab.

Imaginative, playful and completely portable, this clever design from Korean designers Lily Suh and Zoono definitely blurs the lines between dreamscape and reality.

To achieve such a photorealistic design, the design duo worked with astrophotographer Chin Wei Loon and a full suite of telescopes and digital astronomy cameras to photograph the biggest and brightest moons of 2010.

The best of their 26 images were then used to create this wondrous suite of lunar products including the Full Moon Odyssey floor mattress, Blue Moon Waltz floor rug, Moon Landing sitting cushion and the Clair de Lune glow in the dark wall decal.

Check out the i3lab website for more details.

While living overseas, Melbourne mother Elise Heslop, was inspired by the creative use of small spaces in European homes. And one particular streamlined bunk bed caught her attention and started her thinking about the lack of children’s furniture options back home. And so came about the birth of Plyroom...

Accustomed to the typical heavy-grained yellow plywood from Australia, Elise was taken by the clean, light quality of the European birch ply used in the bunk. The absence of metal bolts, screws and nails also struck a chord as it promised for a simple and quick assembly.

A few years later Elise returned home to Australia and launched the eco-friendly company Plyroom, offering original, contemporary and sustainable children’s furniture designed and manufactured in Milan.

Inspired by Italian design principles and culture, where things in the home are looked upon with a generational permanence, every product in the Plyroom range is made to last using quality craftsmanship and sustainably harvested timber.

The all-natural materials, neutral colour palette and clean lines of the designs offer a modern and calming option for little bedrooms. While the highly functional and intelligent design of each bed not only encourages creative play but also means your child won't grow out of their bedroom any time soon.

All Plyroom furniture is finished with non-toxic materials meaning it is completely safe for licking, scratching, biting and lord knows what else they might be succumbed to during their long life of room-sharing with your little crazy.

Usable, simple and smart furniture with a modern Nordic style, we just love the entire range from Plywood. Check out the full range here.
