A Mansion on the Moon

If we were to live on the moon, we can think of no better abode than this humble little home from Boomini. Spacious, light and airy and finished with exquisite Scandinavian furnishings and fittings, we are ready to sign the lease and move in right now...

Seemingly backless and seemingly frontless, this gorgeous playhouse has modular and transparent design making it ideal for several children to play with at once…an important consideration for a world where countless pool parties, love stories and wardrobe fiascos can unfold at once.

The house, and much of the furniture inside, is made from certified plywood and painted with delightful pastel watercolours, while the upholstered items are made with divine woollen felt.

Beautiful and aesthetic, a Boomini house is the only home for a modern doll.

These rustic and playful blocks are the work of WDYGT. And WDYGT or Wheredoyougoto is the work of the very talented Julie O’Rourke and Anthony Esteves...

Little Big House

This doll’s house featured on Abacus Kids looks cooler than your typical inner city terrace in down town London, Sydney, New York or Paris. It's safe to say we are ready to sign a lease and move on in...

The interior design was inspired by the inside of the creator Chloe Thurston's own home, which you can see actually features many of Little Gatherer’s favourite brands. In the top nursery room alone we can spy some gorgeous 'Half Moon' wallpaper from Ferm Living, a 'Mr Agent' poster from Miniwilla and a cloud blanket from Farg & Form to name a few. It’s like a mini display home that is completely shoppable!

The full doll house tour is available on Abacus Kids and reveals all the wonderful furnishings that have been featured.

Scandi Pop

Bold, simple and happy design - that pretty much sums up the delightful handmade toys from British designer Jane Foster...

Foxes, bunnies, pandas and people…we adore them all with their humble colours and striking patterns. Long lines and bold stripes on white linen create an understated style that both children and adults alike can appreciate.

Jane has been screen printing for many years and is renowned for her Scandinavian styles. “I’m definitely influenced by the 70s and recall my home being full of colour and children dressed in Clothkits clothing!

My mum always liked modern, Scandinavian design and primary colours so I’m sure this has rubbed off on me” explains Jane.

Jane’s designs are also available as printed cushions, cards and framed artwork. But our favourites are definitely these little plush toys. Who could resist a cuddle from one of these characters?

Each piece is hand made by Jane and her team of helpers in her Devon home. You can browse the full range from this very clever lass over on her website.

The Naked Lunge

Naked Lunge is way more than a memorable name. It's an awesome range of kid's plush toys that we are rather smitten with...

Every piece in this marvellous collection is hand-painted and hand-sewn, making each little character completely individual and unique. But amazingly, they all still feel part of the same family. This is thanks to the consistent monochromatic colours, linen-based materials and the overall eye-catching look of design. Very clever indeed.

Roxanna Webster is the designer and maker of Naked Lunge. She studied Fine Arts and Textiles and is currently based in Manchenster where she runs this small business, working with independent artists and makers.

If you live in London and like the look of these little fellows, you can join Roxanna for a workshop on how to make your very own plush doll using a range of beautiful Liberty fabrics and a SMUG inspired paint palette. What a fun afternoon that would make!

Check out the Naked Lunge website for more information.
